Known for sacks and tackles, “Mean Joe” Greene of the Pittsburgh Steelers was part of the famed “Steel Curtain” defense of the 1970s. Although his play on the field earned him a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, he is also known for tossing his jersey to a young fan in a famous 1979 Super Bowl commercial.
